Reactor stirrer a good selection method is good to have two conditions, one is to choose the results are reasonable, the second is to choose a simple method, but these two points are often difficult to have at the same time.

Since the viscosity of the liquid has a great influence on the mixing state, it is a basic method to select the type according to the viscosity size of the mixing medium. Several typical agitators have different ranges of use depending on the viscosity.

With the increasing viscosity of the various agitators used in the order of propulsion, turbine, slurry, anchor and belt type, etc., where the propulsion of the finer points, proposed a large volume of liquid with a low rotational speed, the small volume of liquid with a high rotational speed. This selection chart is not a restriction on the use of slurry type, in fact, the use of various types of slurry type range of overlap, for example, slurry type due to its simple structure, with the baffle can improve the flow pattern, so in the low-viscosity is also more commonly used. And turbine type due to its convection circulation ability, turbulence diffusion and shear are stronger, almost a wide range of applications of a slurry type.

There are many ways to categorize the agitator, the following are introduced here:

1, According to the paddle mixing structure is divided into flat blade, inclined (folded) blade, curved blade, spiral surface blade type agitator. Pulp, turbine-type agitator have flat and oblique blade structure; propulsion, screw and screw belt type paddle for the spiral surface leaf structure. According to the installation requirements can be divided into integral type and split type, it is convenient to fix the agitator directly on the mixing shaft without removing other parts such as coupling.

2、According to the use of agitator is divided into low viscous fluid agitator, high viscous fluid agitator. For low viscous fluid agitator: propulsion type, slurry type, open turbine type, disc turbine type, plate and frame slurry type, three-leaf after the completion of the type and so on. For high viscous fluid agitator have: anchor type, frame type, serrated disk type, spiral slurry type, spiral belt type and so on.

3, According to the fluid flow pattern is divided into axial flow agitator and radial flow agitator. Some agitators in operation, the fluid that produces axial flow and radial flow is called mixed flow agitator. Push type agitator is the representative of axial flow type, flat and straight leaf disc turbine agitator is the representative of radial flow type, and inclined blade turbine agitator is the representative of mixed flow type.
